Homework guidance

Practical tips for supporting your child's learning at home — from reading together to creating a quiet study space.

Learning at home

Supporting your child's learning journey

Homework reinforces what your child learns in class. Your involvement — even just showing interest — makes a big difference.

Creating a good routine

Set a regular time for homework each day.
Choose a quiet, well-lit space free from distractions.
Keep books, pencils and other supplies nearby.
Take short breaks if your child gets tired or frustrated.
Praise effort, not just results.

Reading together

Read with your child daily, even for 15 minutes.
Talk about the story and ask questions about what happened.
Let your child choose books that interest them.
Visit the school or local library together.

When to talk to the teacher

If your child consistently struggles with homework, seems overwhelmed, or you have questions about expectations, please reach out. Our teachers are here to help and happy to discuss how to best support your child at home.
